Presenting the Strategic Planning and Youth Development
Section.
The section was created in September 2001. We are situated at the National Youth Center. It is headed by a young and dynamic young woman. Miss Noussira Daman. Her vision is to see a young seychellois in control of their own destiny.
The Strategic Planning and Youth
Development section is a new unit created in late 2001. This unit is designed to be the hub of the Youth
Department.
It has been mandated to monitor, evaluate, research and develop new trends and reinforce the
implementation of all activities within the department. To
that effect, two key units are attached to it. One unit is for Monitoring and Evaluating and the
second one is for Research and Development.
The Evaluation and Monitoring
unit's aim is to monitor and assess the outcomes of each project in order to
determine their cost effectiveness. The
Research and Development
unit's main purpose is to develop and create new project ideas related to youth
development.
