Under his guidance, the Youth Department has taken on a new mission which is that of empowering every young Seychellois towards the betterment of self and country. The Principal Secretary The Principal Secretary acts as second in command of the minister. He ensures that all information is passed on accordingly. The Director General The Director General administrates the Youth Department as a whole. Director Youth Village The Director of the Youth Village administers the Youth Village and organises activities for young people during school holidays. The Vilage also offers accommodation facilities. Director Administration and Finance Ensures that all transactions concerning personnel, accounts and administration functions in an efficient manner Director Strategic Planning and Youth Development The Strategic Planning and Youth Developement Section is responsiblefor the monitoring, evaluation, research and development of youth programmes. Director International Cooperation and Communications The ICC exists to foster friendship, solidarity and cooperation through various programmes so as to promote exchanges and ideas among Seychellois youth groups and their counterparts internationally. Director Mobilisation and Events Responsible for the implementation of activities and the creation of major activities designed to attract massive youth participation. Coordinator National Youth Center The National Youth Center is the focal point for all youth activities. It houses several facilities including some of the secretariat’s offices, a Youth Services bureau, computer center and a health center. Coordinator children’s playground The Playground exists to provide a place of recreation to all children and youth. Coordinator Youth Festival Secretariat The Youth Festival secretariat is the body that coordinates all festivities regarding the annual Youth Festival Coordination President’s Award Scheme The President’s Award Scheme coordinates all award activities.
